all O&M offices under one roof
Project
Diverse work environment for Ogilvy & Mather
O&M’s board were seriously challenged to incorporate two different activities (media and direct marketing) into a single building.
The design had to take different parties into account. At the same time both parties wanted an unmistakable interior. Through close consultation and clear communication both parties were brought into a single line. This came about because we respected the history of the company. O&M is one of the largest advertising agencies with offices worldwide.
The interior reflects many of the founders’ elements. For example, David Ogilvy’s omnipresent red braces. Also a few examples of his wealth of one-liners are given in the decorative glass matting in the dividing walls. For example: "You can’t save souls in an empty church"
To emphasize the communication aspect, we put all desks and cupboards on wheels, to show flexibility and teamwork. This way the staff can push furniture together quickly, making working in partnerships easier
